Is every back pain caused by disc hernia?

Dr. Mehmet Vedat Ozek says that only 3% of the back pain, is necessary to be operated caused by herniated disc.

Ozek, who has signed important initiatives in Turkey's health tourism by using ‘ Scandinavian concept in Physical treatment and Rehabilitation’ since 1996 in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Health, says that the diagnosis Disc Hernia which is operated in many hospitals can lead to many health problems.

There is something we need to know, there is not a such thing like ‘ start of the disc hernia’.

Can an operative treatment be avoided ?

People are kneeling unconsciously for operative treatment caused by back pain, can easily be conservative treated.
According to the researches, up to 75 to 90 percent of patients with herniated discs can be treated by non-surgical methods with satisfactory results.
